Post Open Shoot 10th September 2011
Eight members welcomed their old friend Mick Baily from Longbow Heritage and three new archers - Derek, Mike and Gary to shoot one round of the Open Course. The rain held off in the morning, surprising us with a short shower at lunchtime while we celebrated Mick's birthday. Everyone agreed that the shots were challenging, but not impossible! Thanks to Brian and John for laying their best course yet. Scores below for those who recorded their shots.

Soltice Shoot - 19th June 2011
The sun shone on the small band of club members that turned out in East Knighton. A smaller shoot of 13 targets presented challenges in both distance and stance to get the shot! Thanks to Brian, Malcolm and Ryan for setting up and to Ryan again for supplying the delicious sausages for the BBQ afterwards. Scores below and pictures as usual on the gallery.

Bluebell Trophy shoot - 2nd May 2011
22 archers including 3 juniors and 2 cubs gathered in East Knighton for two rounds of 16 targets with interesting and challenging shots set over various distances. Thanks to Brian for arranging the course which included our newest targets - mountain lion, grey wolf, piglet and only slightly larger than life squirrel! Many thanks go as always to those that helped set up the course and the dedicated few that stayed behind to clear it all away again.
Phil was once again a worthy winner of this magnificant trophy with a great score of 522. It was one of our new juniors however that achieved the highest number of inner first kills! Scores for the day are shown below and photos can be viewed in the gallery.

BST Shoot 27th March 2011
Twelve archers, including one junior overcame the lost hour of sleep to turn out on a fine morning for two rounds of 15 3Ds in Brocks Copse Wood. After the main shoot, several of the group went out to the neighbouring field for a spot of clout shooting. Thanks to Kieron and Co for setting out a great course and to Brian for giving up his afternoon shooting to take pictures, which can be viewed in the gallery.

Bow Hunter Trophy shoot
A misty start turned into a fine day for a squelch round Corf on 20th February. Aiming to follow a traditional hunting theme (one peg, one shot) with some very challenging shots, some archers made offerings to the water gods by shooting their arrows into the river! Thanks to Matt McKeown for putting together an interesting course complete with stalking alley of an unknown number of targets (turns out it was seven) and also to those who helped set up the course on Saturday. You can view a picture of the worthy winner, Malcolm Roberts with the trophy, together with some other shots from the day on the gallery. For a glimpse of how it should have been done (for the goose target at least!) click on this YouTube link shooting the goose.
